The University Grants Commission has reaffirmed the prohibition of ragging in institutions of higher education. Consequently, all students enrolled at Nathdwara Institute of Biotechnology & Management are hereby instructed to completely refrain from any form of ragging within the college premises.

Forms of Ragging:

Engaging in noisy or disorderly behavior, teasing, or causing excitement through rough or rude treatment, including rowdy and undisciplined activities, that may result in annoyance, undue hardship, or physical or psychological harm, these actions can instill fear in new students or compel them to perform acts they would not ordinarily do, leading to shame, embarrassment, or endangering their lives.

Punishment for Participation in or Abetment of Ragging

Learners found participating in or abetting ragging may face the following penalties:

1.     Cancellation of admission from the college.

2.     Suspension from attending lectures and practicals.

3.     Withholding or withdrawal of scholarships, fellowships, and other benefits.

4.     Barring from appearing in any internal or semester-end examinations or other evaluation processes.

5.     Withholding of results for internal or semester-end examinations.

6.     Prohibition from representing the college in any national or international meets, tournaments, youth festivals, etc.

7.     Rustication from the institution for periods ranging from 1 to 4 semesters or an equivalent period.

8.     Expulsion from the college and subsequent barring from admission to any other college or institution.

Anti-Ragging Committee Composition

Roles & Responsibilities:

1.     To raise awareness among students about the Anti-Ragging Act, associated punishments, and the relevant laws in force.

2.     To inform students about the definitions and regulations regarding ragging as per the AICTE/UGC guidelines and the directive of the           Supreme Court (Ragging CLAUSE 3).

3.     To prohibit, prevent, and eliminate all forms of ragging, including any behavior by students, whether verbal or written, or any actions          that involve teasing, treating, or handling freshers or other students with rudeness.

4.     To prohibit any undisciplined activities by students that cause, or are likely to cause, hardship, psychological harm, or instill fear in            any fresher.
